Flights to and From Kenya

Most flights to Kenya land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), which is located 15 kilometers from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The airport is one of the busiest in the continent and the largest in East and Central Africa.

Flights destined for the coast land at Moi International Airport (MBA), which is situated 10 kilometers northwest of Mombasa.

Other major airports in Kenya are Wilson Airport (WIL), Eldoret International Airport (EDL), Kisumu International Airport (KIS) and Malindi International Airport (MYD).

European airlines with flights to the country include KLM (from Amsterdam), Swiss International Air Lines (from Zurich) and Brussel Airlines (from Brussels). Most Nairobi flights from Europe are nonstop and take about 9 hours.

There are no direct flights to the country from the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Flights from the USA and Canada go via one of the European hubs, mainly Amsterdam, London, Brussels or Zurich.

When flying from Australia or New Zealand, you normally get connecting flights in Asia, Middle East or South Africa. The most direct option is flying via Mauritius with Air Mauritius. But flying via the Persian Gulf with Emirates or via Johannesburg with South African Airlines is usually cheaper.
